Social media counts to the essential promotion channels not only for brands but also for musicians, producers, music labels and concert promoters. The community of such media platforms can not get tired of new content and expects that you flood your channels with exciting and various types of content in that ephemeral environment. If you are not regularly publishing new content and interacting with other platform users, not only the platform users but also its algorithms will turn you down. How can we take care of our social media channels the most professional and effective way to cope with that time-consuming task? We will tell you now!
Later - The Instagram Heavyweight
Everybody who once tried to grow his Instagram follower base quickly realised that this activity could be very time-consuming and demanding. You need to be very active regarding posting new and "qualitative" content on your profile. Besides, you need to share even more insights into your professional or private life via Insta stories and interact with other users by liking, commenting and sharing their content. But what can we do not do spend almost the entire day to care about Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and co?
Later, founded in 2014 to be the market's first Instagram scheduler, has now more than two million users globally and is a member of Instagram's partner programme. Later allows you to preproduce your social media content and schedule it to be published automatically (profile posts) or to get a notification, including the material when your stories need to be posted. A profile preview with previously published and future content allows the user to oversee the profile's first impression and aesthetics.
Depending on the Later account type, the profile's conversations (e.g. Instagram and Facebook inbox) can be managed, and the user gets insights into the profile statistics and support by finding the best-fitting hashtags for the content.
That set of functions is perfected to deal with everything Instagram-related, but the app can also be used to schedule and manage posts for the platforms Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.
Our Experience with Later
To be able to preproduce social media content and to get things published automatically (in most cases) thanks to Later is a real time saver. Once or twice a month, we usually hold a team meeting of about four to five hours to collect and edit media that is appropriate for our posts and marketing strategy. We also write the captions, think about the location and account tags as well as the most suitable hashtags. After those sessions, we prepared all our social media posts and some stories that could be preproduced for an entire month. Then we just occasionally need to publish stories "on-the-go" and interact with users that are sending DMs or commenting our content regularly. We could get rid of the awful struggle of thinking of what to post the upcoming days on a daily basis and run our marketing activities far more efficient as before. Consequently, that results in more time for our "real" business activities such as producing a new track or being on tour with artists. The fact that Later can be used via the app on your mobile devices such as iPhone or iPad but also with your laptop via internet browser facilitates the process drastically. A real game-changer!
Account Types & Prices
There are many different pricing plans offered that suit the needs of individuals, small and large businesses. It is great that Later can be used free of charge with limited functions but includes one Instagram account and 30 scheduled pictures per month and an unlimited media library. That way, you can get familiar with the software and try it out. The paid plans with no media type limitations, larger posting contingent and many additional functions that significantly facilitates the profile management start at 9$/month ("Plus" - for power users and solopreneurs) and go up to 49$/month ("Brand" - for agencies & large marketing teams).
