Originally constructed as grocery market in 1933, the recording studios have a history that spans over 80 years. In 1942, the complex was converted into a casino that had closed 8 years later when it became a radio broadcast center. In 1957, Don Blake acquired the building who would go on to sell it to an audio engineer named Bill Putnam soon – Frank Sinatra’s personal engineer. Putnam (Universal Audio users will recognise the name) started the process of transforming the space into the recording studio we know today.
